Located near Bellaire, it is just 12 miles (17 minutes) from Cedars Resort Cross-country ski and snowshoe equipment are available for rental. These trails tend to follow the golf courses and are beautiful in the winter. Our suggestion: Stay at here at Cedars Resort + Play there = Having the best of both worlds for a lot less money.

"Michigan's Premier Nordic Event" typically held in early February, consists of 10, 20, & 50 Km cross country ski races. Races begin at the Mancelona High School and finish at Shanty Creek.
